I've had my Mom go into my room and throw out old sketchpads she thought were garbage. It sucks. It's a violation of privacy and it doesn't feel good; it's like a betrayal. I can empathize with the dude on this level. But also that happened when I was like 15. If he wants to avoid this moving forward, he should try to get his own place, or firmly set boundaries with the Mom (assuming worst case where for pandemic reasons he hasn't moved out/can't move out). Better yet: clean your filthy jerkoff pillows and also go to therapy, because even if it was "sentimental", having this much of an attachment to any object/fantasy isn't healthy.

Unless you are talking about sharing a bag of Hershey's kisses, friends do not kiss as if they are romantically involved. If that was the case, then you would have to French kiss your male friends and the 65-year-old friends of the family.
