In this video, we explain what happens during an arterial leg ultrasound, one of the more common vascular ultrasound exams. This exam uses high-frequency sound waves to assess the blood flow of arteries in the legs, from the groin to the ankle. If blood flow is compromised, it could produce symptoms such as cramping of the leg muscles.

Do most places provide the temporary shorts or should we wear them? Mine is being done at a vascular center. My doctor ordered VASC US LOWER EXTREMITY VENOUS INSUFFICENCY BILATERAL and also VASC US INFERIOR VENA CAVA AND ILIAC VEIN. I'm told that I can have only a tiny bit of water before that one and they wouldn't tell me specifically why.
