Chainsaw Man Chapter 100 Review | How to Walk Shoeless

Banger chapter this week. A different pace from what we've been used to but we need to take time to introduce new characters and explore the new relationships. Overall I think this is the most well written chapter from Chainsaw Man Part 2.

My hope is that Denji starts showing up as a background extra, only officially reentering the story way further down the line. It’d be so funny to have people freak out over a vaguely denji shaped head in a huge crowd shot.

I think it's great Fujimoto addresses some of the issues with Chainsaw Man Part 1 which is the rapid pacing. While it creates tense actions and dramas, sometimes I just want to relax and understand the characters more deeply in Part 1.

I do think with Part 2 we will get more drama, and more characters interactions before the crazy action stuff happen. As you said in the video, the action will be more high stake and intense when we like and understand more about the characters.

To be fair, I'd be ok with not seeing Denji for a while. His arc took 97 chapters already. We've been on a bunch of adventures with him. Let the author tell Asa's story for a while, y'know?
I get that Denji's story isn't over. Hopefully it just means Fujimoto's got some great interactions planned for the two protagonists!

Probably the only series I watched that actually surpassed my expectations even with all the hype surrounding it. I don't regret watching it.

Something interesting is how the war devil seems worried about asa, when she offered to take care of her bullies

Asa and The War Devil sharing a brain and thoughts might be really important because we can already see the War Devil become more humanized she showed consideration when Asa was being bullied and The War Devil also has an almost innocent view of life especially when it came to the shoes. I think the War Devil will become more human as the story goes on or maybe they’ll just straight up go full Sukana and everything ive said is moot

The thing I like most about these new chapters ist just like the feeling I get while reading them. I can´t put my finger exactly on what that feeling is but it´s the same as when I read the other chapters for the first time.

With how Fujimoto is I'm already prepared to see Yuko get the Himeno treatment. However I think it would be even more tragic if she is actually evil, since she seems to be the only person Asa can lean on right now.

I have a personal theory that we actually aren't going to see "Chainsawman" himself very much, we may see Denji soon, but I think the title of "Chainsawman" is going to more refer to how the Chainsawman is driving the characters actions, Asa's freedom of the War Devil, and Denji's mixed situation of being the Chainsawman but also being in highschool

It's interesting that thus far the character saddled with the War Devil seems to be set up with more of a focus on inner conflict, war within the mind.

I really liked this chapter. It provided insight on both Asa's and Yuko's characters. I think Asa taking the shoes at last symbolises her finally accepting that there are other people who might care for her and she should open up for the bonds to form.

And ayyy, reading Punpun I see. It's my #1 most favourite manga. It's just a work of art. I hope you make a video on it someday.

Really glad to see how much you enjoyed a chapter some dumbasses might describe as "filler"! Honestly with how good Fujimoto's panelling was and the detail in the backgrounds, the 2nd half felt straight out of a movie. Really love the slower, more introspective chapters of CSM part 1 so I'm really glad to see part 2 isn't ditching that at all.
