Metroid Prime was my childhood, one of my favorite series overall

Nintendo doing a double release like with Prime and Fusion in 2002 : MIND BLOWN! But anything would be appreciated
Edit : Metroid HAS to be 60FPS, the twitchy inputs and reflexes of the serie are meant to be fluidly experienced. I really like the serie just as it is but adding to it a multiplayer would be fun. For the open world and RPG elements, I think that it doesn't fit the image I have of the franchise. Caverns, small spaces and menacing areas are what defined the mood of Metroid, giving it a Xenoblade Chronicles X treatment wouldn't make it better IMO. The games are just too different in their game design. Nice video as always

My favorite series of all time. Metroid Prime is the only game that gives me so many feels that I cry about when thinking about its beauty. Please Arceus, give me this.

Having Retro Studios, Monster Games and Platinum all available to make this or these projects, Metroid just needs to happen this year. It can really push the system in unique ways and would make a really strong start to the 2016 lineup with Zelda.

I never thought about a co-op campaign Metroid. That would be really interesting and open up lots of new possibilities with the exploration, action and puzzle elements while also bringing in a new character to the series that could be developed as another Hunter like in Prime 3 and Hunters even though Samus is absolutely the focus. I wouldn't mind if in a co-op campaign, Samus and this other character had a relationship that slowly developed as the game went on but was really subtle and serious with minimal talking because of the mission at hand and how scary and tense it must be to explore these desolated planets.

There needs to be a Metroid title for this generation.  2D or 3D I do not care, it just needs to be.  Nintendo completely ignored the series for its 25th anniversary and now its 30th anniversary is coming next year.  It has to happen.  Hell, I know people who will buy a Wii U for a new Metroid game.  It may not be the big blockbuster the Wii U needs, but the fans have been asking for one for years now.  It simply must be at E3.

Couple ideas, you can hack into other peoples games as dark samus and screw with your friends. Youre in a big laberynth so finding where samus is would part of the fun and surprise. You could do damage to the suit as a thing and repairs via the gamepad. Maybe damage to the ship. The ship could work for fast travel/unlcoking areas.

If you guys want a new Metroid game you should check out Metroid Infusion. It's a re-design of Fusion in first person with many other features. You can its page on Facebook by simply searching Metroid Infusion.

Francis, I agree with what you said about adding some sort of RPG elements to Metroid.  Metroid is my favorite Nintendo series, but I believe that we need something something to freshen it up.  Be it a level up system, gear upgrade system, or even just collecting items that don't power up Samus's Power Suit could help do just that.  While I would love to see Metroid Wii U have huge open environments like Zelda Wii U and Xenoblade Chronicles X, people have the expectation that a Metroid game should be confined somewhat, but also open enough to feel large.  This also plays into the whole speedrunning subculture that Metroid games have built. 

Also, 2016 is the 30th anniversary of the Legend of Zelda and Metroid.  Zelda got a giant celebration already for the 25th anniversary, but Metroid got nothing.  Hell, even Kirby got something for its 20th.  So screw attack Zelda's 30th! I want a big party for Metroid's 30th next year, and having one or more games in the series (especially the first HD Metroid and first Metroid in stereoscopic 3D) would be something special.

Here's what I think might happen. The Wii U version won't show up this year, but we might see Metroid 3DS. The Wii U version will probably be Prime Hunters 2. The reason I'm not calling it Prime 4 is because Dark Samus is dead and phazon was completely eradicated. However, the evil hunters from Prime Hunters are still pout there; with Sylux still keeping his eyes on Samus. He would likely be the main villain of Prime Hunters 2. 

As for Metroid 3DS; I don't know what will happen with that one. It could be based on the Metroid Dread script they still have stored away or it could be some sort of mid-quel game that borrows very few elements from Other M (sense dodge and the ability to do the finisher moves).

Metroid Prime games is one of my favorite trilogies.. but looking at it now so many games gained inspiration from it. Borderlands has the big boss fights, Batman has the metroidvania gameplay and even has your ship play a role like in latet Metroid Prime. Halo 5 has the light and dark Samus... I mean Spartans. Alien Isolation has a similar kind of loner in space feel to it. Mass Effect made abother Space Epic. Theres actually a lot to compete with today. If its really refined exploration with very little handholding and great bosses and music thats all i want. RPG elements and online multiplayer? Only if they can make it work with what theyre doing. The same power up convention would be tired though i think.
