If this doesn't work
Shift F10
oobe\bypassnro
PC will reboot and give you the option for "I dont have internet" next to the button. After country and keyboard setup.
Click that, then limited setup. Will reboot and you're good.

This just saved our butts at work, none of the displays would let us bypass this! You're the best!

Another method is

1. Open cmd (shift + f10).
2. Type this command: oobe\bypassnro

Had this identical issue with a new laptop. The taskkill command worked to get around. I had to use Fn + Shift + F10 to get the command window to open.

No way of creating a \ on the laptop. Only x or X. Alt+92 does nothing in cmd.exe😢

Doesn't work for me, after killing or ending the task, windows then changes to a screen saying "Oops you've lost you're internet connection" with a "Retry" as the only option to go forward, and then this takes you back to the "Let's connect you" screen. Did they fix it?

In the latest Win11 software I couldn't get the command prompt (Shift+F10, or Shift+Fn+F10 on laptops) to come up. I believe Windows patched that directly, but what it did was "unlock" the option to run command. Win+R and type in the taskkill command from the video. Note: I did this only during the Connect to a network screen (at least in my case). The command works and saves you having to launch task manager. Thanks a lot. Had to prep 6 laptops - so annoying. Before we could just turn off Wifi adapter or get into control panel and disable wifi. Not any longer. At least there is still a way to bypass this blatant capture of account/info. It also creates a ton of one-time BS accounts for Microsoft. Oh well.

Ran into this problem today with an ethernet connection showing network activity. This video does stop the process, which the installer just repeats the task... not a fix for me.
