Also, it’s almost never gay people who are mad about straight actors playing gay roles. And honestly I have zero problem with actors playing a character that has a different sexuality. And anyone who thinks that Bradley Cooper didn’t win for Maestro because the character was gay, is an absolute moron. Cooper was great in the film but it was always going to go to either Murphy or Giamatti. Also Cooper WAS nominated. In lead actor, original screenplay (he also wrote the film), and picture (he also produced the film).
