Fantastic, Conor. Thanks so much for this! And thank you Angela! Invaluable phrases, repeated 3x so we can actually get it! Thanks for this and all of your videos! Looking forward to a possible future Czar Experience soon. Cheers, man. Stay safe and healthy.

in Lviv you can also speak in polish and a few people will understand you. They are really nice and helpful there. Ukrainian and polish are very similar

Connor I want to sign up for Angela class . I learned more from her and you in five minutes than I did on babble in 6 months it would help if she would go just a little slower though.I really like that she says it three times so it really goes into my brain lol along with body language and the tone - mannerism of the statmente .To me the body language and the tone are key to successful real learning & communication, that is something that babble or any other course does not teach that I know. Great Video ❤️👍 many thanks to both of you.👍👍👍

Taras Shevchenko, also the title of a New Order VHS/DVD of their first concert on NYC at the Ukrainian National Home. A lovely portrait of Shevchenko was the cover.

I'm surprised the list didn't include "будь ласка". When I visited Kyiv, I swear I heard this all the time from everyone, even the otherwise Russian speakers! Whether that's true or not I don't really know, but it sure seemed like it.

That might actually be an interesting language video topic for you. As Ukrainian is used more and more in the country, what Ukrainian words have started taking over from their Russian versions in areas and with people who have otherwise mainly used Russian. I know there are now plenty of English words that have been adopted into usage as more and more people learn and use English in the country.

This was a really good video as I like to hear from the native speakers. My question is regarding Ukrainian vs. Russian language — she spoke in Ukrainian, but don’t most people speak in Russian still? Should we focus on learning Russian as the more global language vs. learning Ukrainian language?

Lived in Ukraine. No one expects you to ever speak Ukrainian, so even a few words gets an extremely positive reaction - they love it.
