Pointe Shoe Review: Dancing in the Grishko SmartPointe

SmartPointe: my pointe shoe review of this product. It is an excellent shoe from the Grishko cobblers, although not my favourite pointe shoe thus far. I explain pros and cons of this product, and share my views regarding the vamp length, box and platform shape, longevity, and usefulness of the pointe shoe.
Grishko markets this pointe shoe for a wide, Roman foot with a medium/low arch, featuring what Grishko determines to be a medium vamp and wide platform. A quick comparison though, which I include in this video, shows how differently other pointe shoe cobblers--even in Russia--interpret the terms 'medium' and 'wide', not always in agreement with the Grishko team.
Again, this shoe is of high quality, but be sure to know your own feet, and always choose your equipment accordingly. Be aware and be mindful of your specific dance requirements. Know your body. Know your feet.
