Gotta be careful with Amazon pointe shoes. Some of them are pretty good, but sadly they don’t last as long as we want them to. It’s a roll of the dice in finding the good from the bad (in my experience).

I live in France, and there’s a ballet store 5min from my apartment. It literally looks like an aesthetic dream. I can imagine that it would be really nice to live near a ballet store if you’re a ballet dancer. I also know that, for those who don’t live in cities, some people have to travel quite far to get shoes if they aren’t part of a company. So, I can imagine why some may order off of Amazon instead of going to a store, despite them not being great or potentially not good for you due to it not fitting right.

I bought 2 different brands of pointe shows and I was fairly surprised with the quality, both works quite well. 1st came pre sewn, the 2nd ones I had to sew. Tho the ribbin began to unravel as I used them.

Good thing this video didnt come out when I was 13. I had a brief ballet obsession and really wanted to get some cheap online pointe shoes, only thing keeping me from it were bad reviews, rarher than my complete lack of experience 😂

I feel like all the videos I've seen of these cheap shoes the shanks are made with a pre-arch that starts arching from right behind the demi, which is way, WAY too low and puts almost all feet in a knuckled position. I have no idea why they would do this. It's not even related to cheaper materials, it's a bad design.
