How to Permanently Disable VLC Recent Played List

Hey! Welcome to HOWZA channel! In today's lesson, we will teach you how to permanently disable VLC recent played list.
Open VLC media player.
Click on Media at the top tools bar. Go to Open Recent Media. You will see a list of recently played videos. We will disable the option.
lick on Tools at the top menu bar. Choose Preferences from the list. A new window will open. Go to Interface at the top tools bar. Look for Privacy/Network interaction block. Uncheck Save recently played items option. Click on Save.
Restart the app. Click on Media at the top tools bar. Open Recent Media option is disabled.

To remove recent list of access.
Right click task bar > Taskbar Settings > Start Tab > disable "Show recently opened items in Jump Lists on Start or the taskbar and in File Explorer Quick Access"

For Windows 11, go to Right click task bar > Task Bar Setting > Personalization > Start > disable "Show recently opened items in Start, Jump Lists, and File Explorer."

now drag your mouse on the task bar and right click vlc, the recents are still there !
