i had recorded an xbox clip with a youtube video playing in the background on my PC, and out of respect for the creator of the content I wanted to remove/edit the audio before I uploaded anywhere. as someone already somewhat familiar with VLC, this made my day, thank you so much! this was short and to the point.

Perfect! Thanks! UPDATE: Wondering if you can help. My video (MP4) is 1 hour long. VLC removed the audio, but lost the timeline. I can't control where I am in the video playback. The time line just shows 1:34 (1 minute 34 seconds) even though it keeps playing well beyond that once the progress bar gets to that point. Does it just need to run all the way to the end to recompile the time line? Thanks for any help!

I've watched like 3 videos saying the same thing but this isn't working for me. When I hit the final save button nothing happens. I don't get the converting blue bar or anything. No save file shows up. :/
