OnePlus 8T revisit: 8 months later

This is the OnePlus 8T in 2021. Our third straight 2020 release revisit. This phone is still an absolute powerhouse that, if found for the right price, would be an awesome pickup this year. Cameras may not be the best in the world, but for the everyday user they're quite good. This phone is all about user experience, and what a breeze of an experience it is.

Got it for $440 on their website for black Friday 2021. Upgrading from OnePlus 5T to 8T after 4 great years of having it with 0 bad experiences. Very excited!

I bought the phone immediately after its release in India in October 2020, and it has always been a pleasure using the phone. I installed almost like 120 apps and the experience is same as when i first got the phone. Display is awesome, especially the auto brightness and i love reading Wikipedia articles from the app. Google integration is so well, never did it miss responding to the hotword. Last but not least, hardware is great charging happens in a jiffy and overall i am more than impressed.

I'm still on 5T and the best thing about these devices is they are buttery smooth and fast after years and works without any lags, Oxygen OS is the best i would say.

Got mine today for $450 from Best Buy. I upgraded from a Samsung a31. Didn’t realize that this is what a smartphone is suppose to be. #Blessed 🙏🏻

Zachery with da truth! Thank you for the honest camera review. Always miffed other reviewers giving it thumbs down. Photos I take are good. Better when compared to my previous 6t McLaren. I've had the 8t since January. Enjoying. No problems.

Bought my 8T (256gb model) a few months ago during some OnePlus celebration sale in the UK for £370.00. The 128gb model was going for £320.00 . At those prices the phone feels like the deal of the decade to me because it's basically a 2020 flagship.

I got this phone like a month ago and its my first oneplus phone i ever own and I'm surprised on how good oxygen os is. And yes the charging always surprised me as it charges too fast.

I'm still using my 6T, and it's working fine as a daily driver. The only issue I see is that there appears to be a decreased battery life these days. I'm hoping there will be a nice 5G-compatible OnePlus phone in the future so that I can get something new, but I'm really liking the idea of an 8T right now.

Recently upgraded from a 6 to the 8t. Looking forward to it. Not as game changing as the previous iterations that OnePlus gave us, but I'm hoping I enjoy it as much since I'm unsure about the 9 onwards with the direction that OnePlus keep heading as a company. Hopefully they don't keep losing their "flagship killer" tag with each new model.

I bought this phone early and I'm glad I did. No only it's a great phone, it's also pretty open for unlocking, rooting, customizing with Magisk and what not. It'll be a while before my next phone purchase.
