I just caught myself on the idea that I was watching this channel since it had like 10k subs. And today I noticed you're way past 100k. I hope next time I am catching myself you go past 1kk. Congrats John!

Great guide! We are all about that Sapphire Reserve card. There was no topping that 100K signup bonus a few years back

Love it! The travel card crunching and the bonus cards these travel credit cards offer are amazing.

This is all overwhelming. I just travel domestic. Hawaii, mainland and back. I want to splurge and go first class. Very best card for this?. My credit is excellent.

In Mexico we have the Aeromexico travel card but that is not exactly a good deal; basically with the AeroMexico Card is requiring for a local trip 28000 points and that is translated into spending 414, 000 Mexican Pesos per year. The average Mexican can't afford having to spend 34, 500 Mexican pesos per month just to get a trip valued in MXN$2200 (Mexico-Cancun round trip) Mexican pesos. So Travel cards should be analyzed more in terms of their purpose (which is Travel!!!!). Hopefully someone fixes the purpose of the travel cards soon, the real measurement should be how much your travel can be enabled with those cards (More travel is supposed to be the real value!)

Good stuff although I always say Capital One Venture cards don't make much sense, because they are essentially cash-back cards with fewer redemption options and less-generous rewards. You'd be better off just getting a 2% flat cash-back card like the Citi Double Cash that has no annual fee. (Although snagging the Venture initial bonus offer does make sense.)

Those 3x points are perfectly geared to us with food and travel, our biggest non-rent expenses 🤣

If your outside the US and Amex doesn't attract you consider a MasterCard World Elite. I use it myself and pays for itself easily just with free lounge access globally.

Hi, great video! Thanks! I have one query though. When you say we have to spend X $ in the first 3 months, do we have to spend those X$ on travel related stuff only, since this is a travel credit card? or I can buy electronics and stuff to make that X$ spend and get those points?

Thanks John we had a great week with your advise in NYC for the first time, as you mentioned you definately have to make a video for domestic flights in usa, its very different than other countries and can be complicated for the first timer

Really well put together video Jon. Nice one ! Shame that us non-US folks can't take advantage of these sweet sweet deals.

That Alaska card is definitely a diamond in the rough cos Alaska has so many good airline partners to redeem on such as Cathay Pacific, Fiji Airways, Qantas, Singapore Airlines, Japan Airlines and many more...

Does anybody have anything bad about the Wells Fargo Propel card? It seems like an amazing card but I don't see many people talking about it much

Hold up. The first card's welcome offer is 60K rewards if you spend $4000 within the first 3 months. Later on he mentions he was able to get a room that cost $300 a night for 5 nights. That's a total value of $1500. That is way less than $4000. Was there any rewards left over?
