This is how we used to make popcorn bc when I was a kid there was no such thing as a microwave. We popped popcorn almost every night! My husband did eat popcorn every night but that was microwave popcorn. I bought a commercial popcorn cart bc we liked it so much. By Christmas time I gifted it to my only grandchild bc he loved popcorn too.

Agreed! I don’t make it quite like that but pretty darn close. Important part is shaking the pot and stopping the heat when the popping slows.

I've been using a Whirly Pop for years, it makes excellent popcorn. Stovetop is the best way to go.

I always melt the butter afterwards because I usually have to make at least 3 bowls because everyone in the house loves the stuff! Even the dog! I use a 3 quart single handled saucepot because it's easier to empty into the bowls without making a mess or getting burned.

This is the only way I knew how to pop popcorn. I showed my grandson how to pop popcorn and he first asked what did you all do NeeNee.😂🤣 He's now 18 but remembers that special day.
I keep popcorn and oil in my pantry. My Dad loved popcorn.
