There are many reasons why his rank was wrong. But I’ll give you one example. Say the Platoon SGT was unknown to the soldiers. He hangs out around a bunch of soldiers before a formation. But then he yells, fall in. No one will question where the command came from. And they all will just fall in. Surprise, I’m your Platoon SGT. I have many more examples for this movie scene.

You'd think that they might have done the, ahem, Basic?, research to know that *nobody* in the US military says "hoo-hah" and maybe these geniuses attempting to combine US Army Ranger School (Fort Benning etc.) with the Jungle Operations Training Center in Panama migh get an occasional "Hooah" - whether they want to go with the HOO-AHH or HOE-UH or HUU-AH pronunciation ... but really, "HOO-HAH?" ... while wearing the least-soldierly-sunglasses ever? This is the stupidest shit I have ever seen. Please don't give me a Hoo-Hah Sergeant.
