The series is incredible. Claire Foy does an incredible job as "The Queen"....very posh and quite stern. John Lithgow as "Winston Churchill" is definitely an award winning performance.🏆 The series gave this American a good history lesson that should be a must for ALL.

I watched this on Netflix this week and loved it. It shows the queen as a woman who has the crown thrust upon her at a young age and how it affects her marriage and her public life. Im 62 and I only remember some of it. A great series.

As a royal watcher and (very amateur) royal historian, I am so excited for this show. The makers have said (in the Time article about it this week) that the first decade has more fiction than others will because it was the least documented, but the creator is also the writer of The Queen and The Audience. Given the respect shown to Her Majesty in both of those pieces, I expect this one will do it's best to be both accuruate (or at least plausible) and respectful.

Brilliant! Watched it over the course of three days. Someone give John Litgow an Emmy, quick! His performance as Churchill ties the whole season together and his acting is absolutely stunning.

Interesting fact, Churchill actually met HM (then Princess Elizabeth of York) in 1928 when she was two and half and he wrote to his wife stating that the young Princess was a character and had an air of authority and reflectiveness that was astonishing to see in a toddler.
