I’m a Native American and honestly a decent amount of this is pretty accurate when it comes to Native American legends from what I’ve heard from elders and other natives. Idk if this was intentional or not but in many of the native cultures Owls symbolize death and in navajo legends they follow death. And the fact that his name is white owl is very symbolic since he follows these cryptids which in a lot of cases bring death. So as a Native American I really like that. Also I would like to note that in Navajo legends it’s said that medicine men/women are skin walkers and that they would bring medical herbs that would be difficult to reach for most people and would take the shape of animals to reach those places. But there certainly were bad medicine men/women which would bring poisons and attack others. Also I do believe in cryptids because a close family friend who is navajo was out helping his grandmother bring in the sheep because the night before some went missing and while they were bringing them in they saw a large figure much taller then any man could be was standing in the woods staring at them from the woods. Shortly after his grandmother moved away because of that being.

I finally got threw ALL your letters it took me 3days but the letter bout Heather wrenched my heart i was crying so hard i can understand where you where coming from when i lost the love of my life i had to raise our son by myself 😊that's a job in itself and they don't come with manuals!!!! Or signs i wish with all my heart that you and Celeste Have the greatest journey a head of you both !!! I REALLY enjoyed the Sam White Owl series. My wife & I used to look forward to his installments. I'm glad that he ended on a good note, recovering from grief, re-engaging in life, finding new love & a way to live within the world without HAVING to Hunt. Also, he seems to have passed on the tradition to a nephew- so, it's still in his life. Several cryptids- I had never heard of before. Really, quite enjoyable. I'd love more of his Hunt stories! But, as a group, they were cohesive, fit well together & he shared just enough about the larger group to keep us thinking.

I'm really enjoying these. I've always suspected some to be more dangerous than others, and it's awesome to hear the stories of how some may have come into being. They show that it's only either ignorance or arrogance that lead people to believe that we are the most dangerous predators out there. Looking forward to hearing the rest.

I will love to hear more about deer people, due to rarely hearing about them. I love nature and don't go out to enjoy it as much as I want to with living in the city. These story's allow me to be more aware of my surroundings. Thank you💕
