I Fully expected the Revv to walk over the Rec here...but it was the other way around lol. I own a Dual Rectifier and I'm a pretty big fan of Mesa products in general, so maybe I'm biased lol. But in this video the Rectifier crushed the Revv thro the whole video. Good job with this man!! 🤘

Mesa DR for the win. I will say the Rev sounded better than I thought it would, but compared to the DR it's like someone took the DR and EQ'd out all of the special character that makes it unique. Great demo also, I like the detail you put into it.

I am not sure if it is because I have a recto, but to me, the mesa sounded meaner. Both are great amps!
I liked the Soaked in Torment riffs at the end 🤘

Maybe not enough people watched until he hit the red channel on the Revv. They are pretty damn close and the Revv doesn't need a boost.

Get the Rectifier modified and you'll love it. I never bonded with Rectifiers till I had BFG modify it. Then it became one of my favorite amps of all time. :)
2002 DR BFG modified. Sounds frickin massive and full.

You've just run the Orange channel of the Rectifier, I found it more scooped and more low-mid oriented than the Red Ch.
Eventhough, what I hear of your video is that the Mesa have more presence and mids than the Revv, rather than what you say maybe it's in the room?
The Mesa's Red Ch. is definetly more aggressive and I like it à lot 😈

Mesa for sure! In the context of a mix I’d say the Revv would definitely cut better but I definitely would take the Mesa imo. It’d be interesting to hear an A/B comparison in the mix between the two.

I have the 100p. But every time I see the tread plate on a rectifier my inner Hetfield makes me want the rectifier because it reminds me of his tread plate esp Mx

I forget where I saw it but I remember seeing a video where someone put a Mesa eq pedal in the loop and it really sounded great.
