I dunno, friends. I've never been a "pedal platform" kind of player, so maybe it's less exciting for me. But if I'm paying $1, 200 for a tube head -- from REVV, of all companies -- I'm not sure that I want to have to spend another $200 for my dirty channel.



Can't argue with the features, tho. It's brilliant to bake the Two Notes Torpedo right into the amp. And I love this kind of amp: just not sure this'd be worth the price jump from buying a Laney Lionheart Studio and a Two Notes C.A.B., if you really wanted that.


Can't deny that it sounds gorgeous, though.

Me and a friend were just saying someone should build a amp like this . Now someone just needs to put a couple of kemper profiles in a box with the torpedo cab sim knob on it. The best solid digital amp modeler is born.

Can you use a cab and balanced out to the PA at the same time? I'd like to be able to run this to the front of house, but still use the cab to monitor my sound from the stage, and at least hear myself on stage.

This is a wonderful amplifier but you should be aware that the software affects provided by the two notes torpedo system are not available when you are using a regular passive guitar speaker. If you want the Reverb and preamp settings using Two Notes, (which are really great), you will need to use the XLR output on the back of the amp and run it to a powered PA type speaker. This was a little disappointing for me as I like the color provided by a regular guitar speaker.

I've gone through two Revv D20s in one week. Each one blew up after just 15 minutes of playing. Absolutely not making this up. Both were brand new. The first one died after just a few minutes of playing it at a low level. Got a new replacement a few days later and the same thing happened. Complete junk!
