I have the 2014 Mono pressing of “Revolver” that I bought at my record store for $24 at the time. Now they’re going for $300.

I wonder how many of these were pressed? I remember listening to my mom's Capitol copy in the late 70's and it was so played I will be floored to hear a clean mono copy. Can't wait for it to arrive!

The “dorks” you speak of I believe were Dave Dexter Jr, Bill Miller and Alan Livingston. Sometimes they created something more interesting like the US Rubber Soul.

EP = Extended Play. LP = Long Player. EPs typically had 2 tracks per side and played at 45 RPM.

The re-tracking of U.K. to U.S releases was not a Beatle conspiracy it was just the way the industry did it up until about mid 67 or so. I thought the track listing difference was do to the U.K. not releasing singles on an album as much as the U.S. market. Like the U.K. would have the singles sell the album but make you want to buy both and U.S. was more buy the album to get that song you know. That's how I've interpreted it anyways. I just chocked it up to marketing. Hendrix, Stones, Cream all had different track listings.

Mine arrived with two Mono LP's (PMC 7009) - one in the Stereo labeled Jacket - worth checking...its happened a few times judging by the feedback from others in the VC....

I put them in outer sleeves and I was going to put them back in the box .. but now they don’t fit, haha so I guess their going next to the box on the shelf.

In 1972 the US LPs were released with the Apple label.

I have the 2014 mono (not the box, just the individual record) but I’m curious about the stereo mix, so I think I’ll probably just get the CD. Hey, random question: are you getting the new Gil Scott Heron - Pieces of a Man AAA 45rpm cut from the UK? I ordered mine from Dusty Groove and it’s on the way.

As Paulo Da Vinci my forebears Mona Lisa is poor, the reds are well not punchy enough, the greens are not grass green and well it could be broader, so as a child not present when the original was done I can do better - go figure

those rainbow capitol releases sound awful, you gotta be kidding me right? the new stereo mix sounds great to me streamed with headphones.
