INTP VS INTJ- THE KEY DIFFERENCES OF THESE PERSONALITY TYPES:

People often perceive INTP and INTJ as similar personality types, but in reality, both of these personalities are very different from each other. They do have the same three letters, and both are introverts, intuitive, and thinking types, but once you look at their cognitive functions, you will know they are very distinct. Today we are going to look at some of the key differences between INTP and INTJ and see what sets them both apart.

INTERESTS:
When it comes to interests, both these personalities have very different tastes. INTJs like to focus their attention on one subject instead of dividing it among many, while INTPs like to diversify their interests and engage with more than one subject. When you ask INTJ about their favorite book, song, or snack, you will find them highlighting one or a maximum of two favorites indicating they have focused interests. They like to focus on one single thing that intrigues them. But if you ask the same question from INTP, they will tell you about their multiple favorites and will explain about their each favorite in detail.

INTJs like to specialize in their interests, while INTPs like to talk about everything, whether it is a book or a song or a musician that inspires them, and they have diffused interests.

As lead-perceivers, INTJs have a variety of interests, while as judging-dominants, INTPs are more likely to fixate on a limited amount of interests.

This video is pretty accurate up until Friend Circle. INTJs tend to be self-absorbed and are not the best caregivers, but will carry out their obligations. INTPs are NOT party animals--I don't know where this came from. With inferior Fe, they can certainly engage with others--more one on one or small groups--and will become less inhibited when drunk, but if given the choice (unless with friends) they will avoid strangers.

Thinking Patterns - INTPs also like to be right, but don't necessarily stick to a conclusion. New data can certainly alter their conclusions. They continue to question their own theories--the mark of a true scientist--no such thing as "case closed." They are open-minded, and will not simply dismiss information based on the source, but rather will consider all evidence before drawing conclusions. INTJs think they're open-minded, but tend to cherry pick which theories they'll accept and which they'll reject based not on actual evidence, but rather on what the "experts" perceive or declare as evidence.

Why do all videos assume that everyone is so humanitarian and wants to solve the world's problems--and fictional leftist ones at that. Many INTJs are actually very wicked people who portray themselves as philanthropists while working to destroy lives in the background. The INTJs I know are focused on bettering their lives and those of their families--nothing more.

INTPs are focused on the truth--in the real world. INTPs are seldom famous (I assure you those claimed to be INTPs are not) and their theories can never and will never be accepted because logic and rational thinking are not high functions for the majority of the population.

Values - INTJs are not focused on the truth. They are focused on the answer they need for their purposes. INTPs will explore and examine multiple ideas and analyze them to come up with what is hopefully the truth. Yes, it is easier to prove something wrong than right, and when they do, they are met with illogical demands for a correct replacement for that which they proved wrong. One reason why their conclusions are often rejected.

INTP here I very much disagree with your perception of INTPs. As far as you're concerned Intps are just good for breathing. You just really made my FE blow up to the 100th degree. Anyways
