Our DJI Inspire 1 crashed after landing it on the ground safely. with battery at 17% after landing it the Inspire decided to go where home point was. I wanted it to stay where it is. it decided other wise.

By the way, this happened to my Phantom. Low battery so I brought it back down but just after touch down, it took control and shot up for it's 20m fail safe. I managed to regain control by going into manual mode just before it hit the telephone wires overhead.

I had as similar issue.  Low battery warning so went to land it and as I was touching the ground it decided to go full throttle straight up.  Hit a tree and came crashing down. It ended up landing on concrete so the battery took the damage (TB48).  The gimbal also came off with the plate and the cables for the gimbal came unplugged.  After putting it back together and using the original stock battery it still flies in Atti mode, but I have an issue with the GPS hardware now.  Cosmetically (besides the battery) the plastic white frame has a crack.

once it starts its RTH, you need to cancel it. You can't just try and control it to regain control.
