What is that?! Want to draw The Unknown? The creepy chocolatier that lives in the walls? The rival of Willy Wonka? The best character to emerge from the Glasgow Willy Wonka Experience disaster? Follow along in this awesome 1 MINUTE tutorial!

Another lil lumpy art tutorial for ya! I'm trying to cram then into a single minute, feel free to pause as you watch. The highlights in particular were pretty dense in this one. Pause pause pause!

I asked for some tutorial suggestions from all of you, and many of you have responded saying you want more Amazing Digital Circus characters. We did Jax already, but we'll get to the rest of the cast soon. I do love the idea that if a new meme like the Unknown suddenly appears, I'm the one to make an art tutorial for it, so I got right on this.

I did my drawing in MS Paint 95, just to flex a bit. Day-to-day I usually use Aseprite. I also don't use a tablet, I use a mouse.

I love the idea that Willy Wonka's enemy. Isn't some vegetable themed person, or dentist villain. It's just a legitimately terrifying creature that for some reason is antagonistic towards specifically Wonka.

Context for people who don’t get this. A really awful live entertainment company tried to create an event called “the willy wonka experience” by advertising flyers made with ai filled with typos and promising to make the event feel as if you went in the chocolate factory. The actual experience was an empty warehouse with tables and one bouncy castle. A bad actor wearing a cheap willy wonka cosplay gave some kids a tour of the “””factory””” which was just the same barren warehouse with some rainbow decorations and one lolipop statue. Notably there was an oompa loompa actress who looks like she was making meth and finally there’s “the unknown” a weird bad halloween cosplay of a scary creature known as “the unknown” who was just some guy dressed like a hippie. The kids were notably really uncomfortable and terrified. Also the script was ai generated.
