The Four 1971 Wonka Kids Leaving the Factory

I created this film because the 1971 film never showed the four bad kids leaving the Factory.
And I dedicate this film to Denise Nickerson (Violet Beauregarde) who had just passed away 3 days ago.

That's how it is in the book, I heard. Augustas leaves much thinner from being in the pipe, Violet leaves back to normal body size but is still blue(though I think they said the color will go away in 6 to 12 months), Verruca leaves with her father being more firm that she can't always get what she wants and Mike leaves but not shrunk but now tall and skinny.

Fast forward 50 years:
Augustus advocated healthy eating within the newly unified Germany. His son and grandson are accomplished athletes
Violet became an accomplished motivational speaker and writer, speaking about how everyone deserves respect.
Veruka became a well-known humanitarian worker, and even adopted several children from areas of greatest poverty.
Mike became educated and advocated for early literacy and against excessive media exposure for children.
Charlie kept close with all of them while continuing to give back to the small English town he came from.

I love the way the parents stare at their kids! Especially since Mrs. Teavee has to look up at her son while the other parents look down at their kids.

From the remake adaptation, the kids and parents came out of the factory. They have lessons learned of their parenting. Some are embarrassed like Mrs. Baureguarde and Mr. Teevee, some are horrified like Mrs. Gloop, and someone is done with Veruca's shenanigans is Mr. Salt. Parenting lesson learned.

What happened afterward:
Augustus went on a diet
Violet eventually turned back into into her natural tone and she decided to stop being so competitive
Veruca became more well behaved after her father started disciplining her more
As for Mike teavee, he still watches tv, but his parents got in the habit of moderating the time he watches.

A lot of memers seem to think the other 4 kids died, but true WWATCF fans would recall that Charlie askes about them and Mr. Wonka promises "When they leave the factory they will be restored to their normal, terrible old selves, but maybe they'll be a little bit wiser."

It feels great to finally see the other 4 kids leave the factory. This is one part of the movie that the 2005 version did better-did right and the 1971 version did wrong. we must remember that Charlie is not the only kid that went in there-5 kids went in, and it is only right to see 5 kids come out! Now we get to see the other 4 children walk out of the factory-and prove to those horror lovers that they did not die and Wonka did not turn them in to candy!

Mr. Beauregarde: Mr Wonka says the blue will wear off in 6 to 12 months until that’s over, no more chewing gum for you. We’re going to the dentist tomorrow. It’s for your own good

Violet: Yes, Daddy.

Mr. Salt: You’re lucky neither one of us were burned to a crisp! And the only thing your getting out of this is being grounded for 6 weeks

Veruca: But Daddy!

Mr. Salt: But nothing! (Calmly) you can’t always get what you want just because we’re rich

Mrs. Teavee: Now, I’m not gonna throw this TV out but I am gonna set up a time limit because you have been watching too much of it. You will now spend time reading or playing outside.

In the Wonkaverse, Mike eventually gets drafted into the NBA and goes on to enjoy a stellar career as one of the premier Centers in the league, winning two Championship rings with the Boston Celtics. Upon induction into the HoF, he thanked Wonka for making it all possible.

This is the way the book ends, explicitly saying that the other kids are okay and left the factory with some _very_ pissed off parents. I think the urban legend that the kids all died came from the more cynical undertones of the original movie, and that Wilder just did that well in portraying Wonka as being off his rocker.

These character designs remind me of the ones from Tom and Jerry in Willy Wonka. Very nicely done!

Only thing missing is Mr. Wonka looking out 1 of the top windows laughing. Another thing, the book says that the 4 losing children were accompanied by both their parents while the 2 movies portrayed either a mum or dad accompanying them.
