How can my child with Autism lead a normal life? - Dr. Namrata Pai
Показать описание
Normal is a very misleading term. We all have our strengths and challenges, the same way with people with autism. If we want them to reach their true strength we start with the fact that parents need to accept the diagnosis. Understand that they are not going to fix their child because they are so setting limits for their child. For the child to reach their maximum potential it is important that we accept the child. Today there are so many supports and help available for people with autism. They go to main stream schools, they get their college degrees, they have jobs, independent, cooking for themselves, living by themselves. So it is important to note that to achieve this, the child needs to have a very good early intervention program. The earlier the child starts learning the more he is prepared to do when he is an adult.
