I've been buying IAT slowly. Almost no shot the contagion from SVB hits all the smaller banks.

Blaming SVB's collapse on the FED is like blaming a multiple gunshot victim's death on an ambulance slow response. Inflation is still hot and still the FED's biggest worry.

This is a super helpful explanation. Glad to see people are engaging and gaining a better understanding of what happened

A problem is even if you hold a 1% bond to maturity, and get all your money back, you are still losing 8+ percent to inflation. And then you have to pay taxes on that interest, for which you just lost 8% per year.

Great video. Please consider reviewing EOG and PXD for their solid balance sheets and high dividends

SVB got caught on an interest rate squeeze, when the interest rates went higher than they were earning on the bonds they held. Now they're toast. I feel for all the individuals and business that have lost their money. Those that got out early may have escaped with their money, those that waited - gone. I wonder how many businesses have lost their working capital that was deposited there and will now go under. I'm still at a crossroads deciding if to liquidate my $238k stock portfolio, what’s the best way to take advantage of this bear market?

MPW was a plain bad stock recommendation. I figure I'll break even in about four years.

I agree that Crude, DVN, COP are on sale so just got a little longer. Already long the big banks and SCHW still seems cheap. I heard Buffet recently bought more BAC and OXY so he must think they are on sale too!

It would be nice to have retirement coming in from the years I spent working and paying my taxes.

If you didn't start investing in your 20s you probably will retire on social security. Its sad to work 50 years and retire to old age in poverty. But it happens.
