Where the Klamath River and Pacific Collide, Klamath, California, USA

The video shows changes to the shape and direction
of a river mouth - dictated by river water levels, waves,
wind and tides. A sequence from the overlook shows
the river's march north and south across many
seasons. You'll witness a wild river mouth shifting
like the head of a snake held too far behind the
head.

Soon the Klamath River will be a wild river from
headwaters to the Pacific, once all dams are removed
in the largest dam removal and river restoration project
in U.S. history to be completed this year (2024!).

Here's a great video; (a Yurok Perspective) on this momentous project.

For those interested in this video production.
I designed the slideshow, Jim Matus composed the music
using his Laotar, and his final composition fit perfectly
within the slideshow, including introduction and credits,
without a single edit. Is that how it's done? A first for me
to work to produce a video with an original composition.

30 year old electric powered Coleman Scanoe. Photo taken
by my landlord at my request made via cell phone.

Watching this makes me long for the Oregon Coast. And thank you for sharing the Great Klamath River news! 🙏🏼✨

It was so nice to see the Klamath again. I lived in that part of California as a child. I hope the dams do get removed soon because the tribes have waited more than long enough.
