From armored wagons fighting off Imperial knights, to armored trains fighting off commies... Keeping traditions alive I see.

4:27 The Checoslovak legion actually considered many different possible courses of action. One of them was outright joining the Russian Civil War on the side of the whites and marching on Moscow. Being the most veteran and equipped fighting unit in the zone, they most likely would have succeeded. Which makes for a fascinating what-if scenario.

As a czech, i am extremely saddened by the fact, that THIS piece of our national history isn't taught at schools and that i got to know about these events and bravery of our fathers from a youtuber that i've never head of before. Great job sir and keep up your good work

It's pretty cool, Mussolini was a journalist, Hitler was an artist, Mao was a librarian and Stalin was a criminal.

Here in Czech rep. the Legionaries are remembered as national heroes. The ČsOL (veterans organisation founded by the legionaries ) even has a travelling train museum that goes around the country. The train is set up as one of those used by the legion in siberia. Its called Legiovlak and its awesome. There are plenty of books, movies and tv shows about the Legion unfortunately most of them in czech or slovak. great vid btw :D

What mad lads, so proud of my country.
I also didn't know American (and other) troops were helping the legion, I only knew that Masaryk (he would become our first president) flew to the US to ask President Wilson for help in establishing our country.

103 years ago, independent Czechoslovakia was declared in Prague.
At this same day, many members of the Czechoslovak Legion died in France, Russia and Italy, not yet aware that their struggle was successful.

And as a Slovak, I wish that we would this badass, like the First Republic. When we used to fight commies before it was cool. :D Imagine watching CS Legionnaires alongside of US MARINES and IJA soldiers. Damn I would pay to see that!
