It's a good thing he said he was the supervisor when he showed up, that way when he looked like he didn't know what he was doing and they gently corrected him and he got indignant it was perfectly in character for any supervisor.

I like the tension between the "tough" mechanic, and Fletch; just how the mechanic isn't buying what Fletch is selling, and Fletch is tryng his best to look legit. The back and forth camera conveys this well.
