Meteorologist Michelle Morgan has the New Orleans weather forecast and says it will be very hot with a chance of storms in the afternoon.
Heat Advisory in effect for the area Friday! Feels like temperatures may reach 112° this afternoon.
An upper disturbance is what helped trigger scattered showers and storms today, but that didn't prevent MSY from tying the record of 97°! That is the hottest we have been so far this year! And of course much more summer to go! Without any additional upper disturbances to assist in triggering storms, the next few days we can only rely on a few pop up storms. Once the upper high becomes more centered over the region, that option is off the table with us staying dry from Father's Day until about Tuesday, when again, only a few pop up showers could develop toward the end of next week.
