The sound engineers did an amazing job recording this performance. To have so many voices equally represented in a recording is a Herculian task, and they pulled off the near impossible with a sound quality recording one hears only very rarely from orchestral choirs.

I've heard many versions, but by far this choir is just unmatched. Incredible how they really get the sense of the piece, altering strength and tempo to the mood of the words. It's just mind blowing. Must have replayed it a couple of dozens of times and could do so many more times over without getting enough.

I know Dies Irae and Lacrimosa gets a lot of attention but Rex Tremendae [ 16:40 ] is fantastic...
It feels like an army of angels announcing the presence of God...

Those who disliked the performance were simply in the wrong page, otherwise they would have offered musical reasons for not liking....a hard fact to justify from the immaculate presentation from this group. Everyone was in sync from the conductor to the choral. Runnicles was clearly blown away by the performance. Bravo indeed to this group.
