Join us on our final port day in Genoa, Italy, as we embark on a remarkable adventure during our 7-day Mediterranean Cruise aboard the MSC Europa. Despite not having an excursion planned, we made the most of our time in this vibrant city.

Upon disembarking from the MSC World Europa, we hopped onto a City Sightseeing Bus, conveniently located just in front of the Port of Genoa. With the ease of payment via our phones, we embarked on a journey of discovery, enjoying the flexibility of the hop-on-hop-off bus with its informative audio tour.

As we rode around the city, we marveled at the bustling streets filled with an array of restaurants and shops. Our exploration led us to a park offering stunning panoramic views of Genoa, accessible via a free elevator – just one of the many convenient amenities available in the city.

After indulging in a quick flatbread pizza, we ventured to the funicular, another complimentary mode of transportation offering access to various parts of the city. Our quest then took us to the lower city, where we sought out the historic Christopher Columbus house, a testament to Genoa's rich heritage.

Genoa, renowned as the birthplace of Christopher Columbus, denim fabric, and pesto sauce, captivated us with its history and charm. As our day drew to a close, we bid farewell to this remarkable city and returned to the MSC Europa.
