With is 113 hectares the Genoa historic Centre is the most extended medieval Historic Centre of Europe and is the most densely populated. Genoa centre, with its Palazzi dei Rolli, is an Unesco heritage centre as well.

We were in Genoa last year and we loved it. Underrated city. I'd love to go back again.

It's a fascinating city, that whole Italian Riviera is fascinating

That wasn't the main piazza, that was piazza Matteotti. Piazza de Ferrari is just 20 meters from there

Was there last week as part of a trip to the French Riviera and Barcelona. Used Genova as our base to explore the Italian Riviera. It was a pleasant surprise. I had no expectations and found the city to be charming. It has a mix of elegance and gritty. It's definitely an underrated Italian city! We only scratched the surface and I want to return.

Went to Genoa in May this year. Fantastic little city. The people are really proud of it and want to keep it clean and the harbour plastic free. Not joking, on the Porto Antico there's a bin every 3 metres.

I was super lucky that the entire time I was there there was a Slow Food fish festival going on. People from all over the world were selling fish, pasta, gelato and loads and loads of different beers from Italy.

Great place and relatively cheap. Will definitely go again.

I love Genoa so much. I was only there for 3 days, but we saw so much. Our Airbnb was up the Funicolare Zecca-Righe, so it was fun to take public transit, even.

You should check out the Cinque Terre National Park. Beautiful area along the Italian Coast.

Genova looks amazing! I've seen a number of videos on the Ligurian capital at this point, but yours is easily the best, for it strays off the beaten path in favor of a local's view of the city. Thanks for sharing your experience with us, man. I can't wait to visit for myself.
