I think my first exposure to Greek mythology and seeing most of Greek mythology creatures was from watching the Narnia movies when I was a kid😅 because the author of Narnia CS Lewis like Greek mythology and used a lot of them for his world

Filipino mythology also have half horse, half man creature. we call it Tikbalang. the difference is it is the other way around. Tikbalang has the head of a horse and a body of a man. according to myths, once you plucked a hair from a Tikbalang and keep possession of it, the Tikbalang will be your loyal servant. apart from that, I don't know nothing more about it.

Hera should have divorced Zeus long ago and here's a fun fact she may be the goddess of marriage but in one of her stories she actually almost divorces and Zeus panicked😂

Pranking and clowning on the guy that passes out at the party. A story old as time.

The Greek gods being basically just superheroes is so weird to me. How did people once worship someone with all the moral flaws of a normal human?

So how did they breed then? If only Chiron was born or Nessus? Where did the rest of the Centaurs come from?

There is another origin about the centaurs. Zeus was always wandering when he could mate with Aphrodite but couldnt, in one on these ocasion he saw her, he "relieved" himself on the ground, but turn out the precense of Gaia was still in the earth, and a centaur was born. Would be cool if someone write how the hierarchy of Centaurs was; those sons of Cronos, Zeus and Ixion.

The first Centaurs were probably people riding horses. As the Greek's learned to ride and use horses the myth took on a more mythic embodiment than a real creature.

In my opinion it's possible that the centaurs were mythologized versions of the nomadic indo europeans that migrated half a millennium before Mycenaean culture flourished. Especially Since the indo Europeans had a sky god called dyeus which may be an origin of zeus. The pairing between the king of lapas and the cloud goddess as well as the story between cronis and felera may be how the indo Europeans and nearly neolithic humans culture began to merch with the Indo Europeans tellingsa more peaceful story to explain integration with the local neolithic farmers hinting that Zeus as both their common ancestor. Meanwhile another story showing a more violent story hinting of a forceful take over likely drawn upon by angry nomadic farmers that remained. It may also explain why their isn't any depiction of female centaurs until much later. Indo Europeans nomads were almost entirely consistent of males and came by chariots and already knew how to make bronze tools and used bows and arrows in their assaults.

🤔 . . . What about _Interviews with Monster Girls_ & _Monster Musume_ ‘s approach to such . . . people? If such people existed, even up to today, how would history look? And how would each be utilized to their fullest?

🐴
The Centaurs/Ichthyocentaurs only have two equine legs (and with a real tail).
(Otherwise the Satyrs and the Minotaurs also have a double body like them)
