Oneida Supercell Dust Collector is Super Easy to Set Up

Показать описание
This video details the setup process for an Oneida Supercell Dust Collector. The Supercell is a newer dust collection system that relies on high static pressure and moderate air flow, which is a change from normal dust collectors' typical high air flow low static pressure system. The unit is compact and easy to assemble. It took me less than 2 hours total time spent setting it up (not including ducting) and I decided to walk through the setup process in this video. I know when I'm investigating a new tool, there are questions I have about what goes where and how this and that works. So hopefully this video will help some of you who are looking at potentially purchasing this unit answer a few questions about how it is set up.

Oneida makes good dust collectors. You did a fine job installing this one. I look forward to more videos.

Great video basically just watched yours and looked at the instructions a little bit but I can tell you it took me a heck of a lot longer than two hours. A couple of takeaways. I have the 30 gallon drum I’ve measured it 6 million times I definitely did not screw it up. The 5 inch flex hose barely fits from the drum to the unit. Also I’m finding getting the top on and clamped down is pretty finicky. But all in all really happy with the unit. The footprint is probably the best part along with its high capacity

Any follow-up on the performance since installing it 2 years ago? Nice video and straight-forward. Keep up the great work.

How heavy is the 55-gallon to empty? By the way, great video.

Man, I feel this. I hate tap cons so much. They’re by far the easiest- but I feel like also the most problematic concrete anchor solution. I’ve gone almost exclusively to all-thread and epoxy, or redheads.

Thanks for the install video, helped me. Now the duct work. Can you explain that first connection of 4" flex to 4" pvc ? I'm finding the hose and pipe compatibility is frustrating but i'm learning a lot about what doesn't work.

Nice video, well done. Would be great to get a follow up on the Supercell in use, performance, etc…

Hi, thanks for the video. I’ve saw Oneida note on their website they do not recommend using Supercell with PVC ducting. Have you had any issues? My existing setup is also PVC but I think Supercell is a good match for my needs. I’m on the fence 🤷‍♂️

I'm curious to hear how it works for you. I've never seen anyone go from something bigger to this and your previous unit looks like the same case, but still interested to hear how it works.

Easiest way to ensure you don’t break a tap con is to ditch the impact driver and use a small hammer drill to install them. Not to mention the hammer drill will install them soooo much easier.

People do not realise how much replacing as much flex hose as possible with solid ducting makes a difference in any system.

I am a bit confused. The title of the video is that it is super easy, but for the first few minutes you really struggle.
