On that remote for the Oneida, when you sense that the remote is worn out and will not start or requires several presses of the go button; just buy the remote from Oneida; not the receiver unit as those do last longer than the remote. I had an electrician come in the shop (he had a reading disability as I found out after several failures of the install) and he miswired the remote and a shaper.
That wiring on the remote caused me to think the remotes were not lasting very long; I was buying lots of remotes. Finally had Oneida tell me how the wires connect and now I have remotes around the shop saving me time. The electrician, due to his failures, would say, "you need to get the machine manufacturer out here to correct their mistake". I just started reading all the install papers and figured out the problems.
I hope you can place branching of the 4" tubes and avoid those 90 degree turns. Good luck

Thanks for this video! FYI, I spoke with iVac tech support and they confirmed that you just need the Contactor that they sell, it then plugs into a 115v ivac switch, and the Supercell just plugs into your wall outlet. That enables the auto/remote on/off. I've ordered this setup along with the blast gates...looking forward to it!

thanks for the honest "real world" review, im limited on space and this looks like the perfect solution, its as expensive as a professional/small industrial unit, but it looks like it works well...thanks again!

Thanks for the video but You’re saying cfm when you should be saying ft/m. That anemometer reads ft/m not cfm you must calculate the cfm

Thank you Howard! I now feel confident about ordering one!

Lol. I’m kind of glad you didn’t turn it on at first. I got a good comparison with and without.

11, 000 CFM? I think you might have calculated that wrong, do you have the correct settings and the right cubic feet set? You need to set the units of the area of the tube, then measure CFM. 11K is 24 times higher than the manufacturer states.

Could you check your meter again and try it with the CFM setting on? I'm curious. I assume the max you will see is like 400-ish and the lowest like 100.

I think I'd like to have a vacuum hose on a reel that would automatically turn on the impeller when I pull it out.

Another great effort Howard! Now I need to buy the air volume measuring device! You are good at getting me to spend $$$. :) I was wondering if it was powerful enough
that I'd need to leave a blast gate open in addition to the tool I was using. I'm going to add a long hose to vacuum my shop and was deciding whether to add a blast gate for it or just leave it open. My gut says do the blast gate. Just pulled the trigger on iVac.

What type of piping are you using? What is the black PVC pipe? Are the y splits, angle pieces, and connectors the same PVC? What brand/where did you buy? Thanks for the review!

Have you tried the machine with power hand tools like a track saw or router? Nice video. Thanks.

Great review Howard. I am seriosly considering a super cell. Onieda strongly recommends against using plastic pipe. I currently have some of my plastic pipe system under a cement floor and the rest on the walls and ceiling. I noticed that you seem to have some plastic pipe under the floor and along the wall. Do you have any problems with static electricity?

Do you have any problems with the remote not working sometimes?

Thanks for doing this video! I'm on the fence between a V3000 and a super cell. Would love to see how well this works on your table saw when running bottom and top collection at the same time!

Where did you get the spring hose clamps? They seem really good, are you happy with them? Thanks for doing the review.

Hi, thanks for posting the video. I just installed my supercell and was wondering what kind of PVC pipe you are using? Thanks!
