I bought 3 dozens of bottled lime water from Vietnam (because it’s tasted pretty unique and I loved it). I’m lucky the officer let it go through, he asked for one bottle tho, and said the drinks come from his hometown so he totally understand why I loved it so much.

If you really believe that nothing ever goes home with a TSA agent, I have a bridge in Brooklyn I'd like to sell you.

You can bring a gun on a plane. There is an entire process for it. Essentially you check it in your bag.

A video about WHAT HAPPENS TO TSA AGENTS WHO ACTUALLY DO STEAL THE PRODUCTS? Be interesting!

The TSA can't claim that you "willingly surrender" anything if you're being threatened with ARREST.

One time, me and my family went through an airport and the officer confiscated a pair of nail clippers from my mom, it was ridiculous.

this is a very interesting video.
i have some respect for the TSA not throwing away all the items that are confiscated due to government regulations. with that, i get that some of these items are sold for profit, but i will say, i am glad this video also gave plenty of tips of how to not get your items confiscated.
thanks for the advice infographics!

I don't understand the logic of being able to put a chainsaw in your checked luggage but heaven forbid you try to bring on a unopened bottle of water

Back in 2003 I was doing community service at :Texas Surplus Property Agency. We got crates of one ton of metal (knives, scissors, nail files) we put into batches of 10lbs and was re-sold. They got DFW and Love Fields confiscated goods. I cherry picked some very nice knives.

I just looked at my State's surplus auction items online. I've never seen so many pocket/hunter knives for sale, in my life. This was a really informative video. Thank you

That would be nice to have rental lockers near the TSA checkpoints so that travelers can retrieve the items when they come back.

Sadly most TSA don't even know their own rules. Me and friends frequently travel with airsoft guns and read the rules on how to store but they always freak out and make us treat them like firearms. We aren't allowed to bring batteries or gas for them so even if we wanted we can't use them and we only fly with ones with orange tips. We get so much trouble for obeying posted rules it's annoying.

TSA has never stopped a credible threat

I left my $1600 music production laptop in a bin one time back in 2009 or so 😞 No clue how I did it, but I never saw it again. 😞

The usps also has a bad reputation, I recently shipped a christmas gift to a friend in the States. My post office put the adress as 2011 instead of 2010 like i put on my customs form. So all of a sudden showed return to sender. No. It was roasted coffee, i don't want it back... long story short, after 4 calls and 2 hours on the phone on hold i wanted to throw my phone. i got one step further. Lady at the national call centre was awesome. But she couldn't tell me why it's coming back, which is understandable, but did give me the local post office info. Called them, it was delevired in less than two hours. Made me happy

You actually CAN fly with firearms. There are just a lot of rules for how to do so, and messing even one of them up can get you a felony charge.

How is it "unfair" that TSA agents don't get to keep the items left behind? Are you kidding me? Not FAIR?! They get paid in US Dollars. So wtf.
