It is the oldest synagogue in the state, home to the first permanent Jewish house of worship in Utah. It's completion in 1891 even predates the Salt Lake Temple.

That'll be so cool to have an art museum like this coming locally. It is true, there aren't enough of these kind of buildings around to display art, especially when there are so many great artists around here

Glad to see a historical building not being torn down, but preserved by being reused. 😊

The Utah pioneers, aka the Latter-day Saints, and the Jews, are some of the most faithful and humble people I’ve ever met.

Wonderful. We need to save these old architectural masterpieces.

I have always loved this building. I went inside once out of curiosity, when some businesses were there. It was beautiful and I wished I could see the rest of it. I look forward to this.

It is supposed to still be with living people and under my family’s ownership and not an art museum considering Alphonse Mucha is in my family.
