I finally cut ties with my mother, who had always been jealous of me, and my life has been so much more peaceful ever since.

I watched a decent amount of videos on this subject but I absolutely love your perspective. This subject is not an easy one to tackle. It is spiritual in nature. You answered my question about how I should operate in terms of good news.

My mom hasn't always been good but neither all bad. She has supported me and pulled away from me as well when I desperately needed her in my corner. My mom seems to constantly battle between wanting to love me but struggling with jealousy and/or bitterness.

I truly love her and desire to be close to her but I have to guard my heart because I don't know when she'll be for me or sabotage me. It's not cut and dry, black or white. Thank you for helping me.

3 years no contact with my mom. I never thought of it as jealousy I thought she was just mad she couldn’t control my life 😅

My mom started to get jealous as I got older. It got worse once I gave my life to the Lord. I started to change inside and out and well you know the rest. I would tell my sister and she would defend her. Now my sister is about to get married and my mother turned on her as well. The best thing that has worked for me is keep it cordial with my mother and keep my distance and it’s worked wonders. The 1 advice is give to Jesus. Seek his advice and his advice worked.

I’m 53, now I realized my mom tried to sabotage my life. Lying to people that I was jealous of her because she was so beautiful! She stopped talking to me after I got married at 27 yrs old n she told me I was supposed to have a bunch of kids with men beating on me living in the projects… wow really, that was her life not mine!
Today she’s alone, bitter sitting on the phone spreading rumors n lies about me to anyone that will listen.
I had to cut my mother off n walk away years ago for my own safety, bcuz her intense jealousy and need to control & sabotage me is diabolical!

Yes, you nailed it. My three siblings (all males) and I are dealing with our mother that is like this . She is jealous of our success and we aren’t doing anything major. We all have spouses and she always criticizes them or have something to say. About a month ago my mother told me I treat her like she want my man. I’m like what! When we try to include her in everything we do by inviting her to our events, so I start distancing myself from her and not answering her phone calls as much.

It can get dangerous sabotaging your finances, health, and relationships, that is considered parents doing black magic or witchcraft on their own kids because they want control over them. To feel content will there own life.

A lot of people have children selfishly... it is hard for people to understand that their kids are not an extension of themselves - they are their OWN PERSON! This is why it's important that we put in the work to heal our issues before bringing a spouse or children into our lives. Otherwise, it's going to be torture for everyone in that household.
