I can see this being helpful for free throw shooting but not for dribble pullups for example

Btw, 100s of shots a day are not required. If you really don’t have time for that, even 100 three times a week is great. It doesn’t work as fast, but I didn’t have the time for that and I was able to get really good form with what I did. Don’t give up just cause you don’t have much time. Just do what you can. It definitely is important to start close to the basket until you have it down though.

Thanks bro because I never had the strength to do shots properly and I thought I just had to be strong but if you practice you realise that it’s all in the wrist

People need to be careful when instructing people to use the index and middle finger as the last fingers touching the ball on your shot release. Those last two fingers need to be the two longest fingers on your hand. So if those two fingers are your middle finger and your ring finger, then those are the fingers that should be touching the ball last on your shot. Coaches forget that not everybody’s body is the same. My ring finger is longer than my index and when I started to release the ball with my ring finger and middle finger touching the ball last on my shot, it fixed it and made it consistent. If you don’t believe me, try it yourself if your ring finger is also longer than your index finger. You’ll see a major difference. You’re welcome.

I have the proper hand placement and I started to change it and put it on the top of the ball and I'm telling you it made my shooting better by 20%

Yeah but what do you do when the other team never gives me enough time to find the air hole and place my fingers? I’ve asked nicely and called time outs but my coach makes me run laps

So everytime I shoot i need to look at the ball and place my fingers and then shoot?

You just gotta make sure you're looking down at the ball to get your finger on the hole, and not the basket you're shooring into. Every good coach teaches to stare at the ball.

Technically, your pointer finger is always at the center of the ball no?

Just keep your palm off the ball and follow thru you’ll be fine

Isnt anywhere the center of the ball because the shape of the ball is a sphere?

Unless your taking a free throw, this ain’t helping especially when you tryna get a shot off fast

Who puts the ball purposely on the air hole? Who tf has time to rotate the ball to the air hole then shoot the ball? 😂 these basketball “gurus” are out of control!
