Now that they added Dumon and the Seraph skill… I’d say that’s a good starter as well cuz the skill does alooootttt.

Blue eyes is def a great starter. I’m a long time YGO fan who restarted Duel Links a few months ago… and the modern gameplay took me by storm. Battle Chronicle/ Blue eyes was my main deck for months and I got a build together that took me to Legend level. Yes Dingirsu is a must as well as the Galaxy Eyes cards. Dragluon is not a must have but def helpful in mirror matches or against Borrel Link.

Then i also built Tachyon cuz I love Zexal and Mizar and Galaxy eyes… Tachyon is always fun. XYZ import is a great play at 3 copies in that deck. And again…Dingirsu is a must.

Now I’ve gotten comfy enough with the modern gameplay to run Playmaker’s decks (Synchron quantum, Darkfluid), Borrel Link, Sunavalon, Live Twins, Unchained and Shiranui.

We all gotta start somewhere and I def agree with your suggestions here :)

Hey great video.

Would definitely add give some cheaper versions of the deck as examples. You don't need crackdown or effect veiler to get to legend/KoG. They are just for tournaments and to get a few extra free wins along the way.

I think for an actual new player, Blue Eyes, Star Seraph, and Lunalight are the only decks you should pick between. Because they are cheap(just play blue eyes with 1 successor soul when new, it's enough to get legend, then decide if you want to upgrade or go to another deck) and on the easier side to play.

The only other good cheap decks are unchained, sunavalon and budget borrelload dragon, you can complete them with 2 runs in a single (mini)box. but they're more tricky to play so I would recommend them only after getting used to the game with the easier decks and you want to build more decks for variety or because they look fun to play.

PS there is also a version of Blue Eyes without successor soul that uses Stone of Ancients and Blue-Eyes Dimensions skill. It's extremely strong because it abuses the syncros(spirit dragon and azure dragon) and it's a bit more complex to play than Battle Chronicle so if you get bored of Battle Chronicle you can switch to this one to learn something new.

i would also add Unchained, Fluffals and maybe Trickstars as well (to some extent)
