My list would be: Slicer, kinnin, winota, tivit, godo

I assume they come from EDH and are use to playing synergy or tribal. Maybe seen a meme infinite combo or two.

I dont think ad naus decks filled with tutors and generic staples is beginner friendly.

Tbh stax is a great place to start bc you end up smashing really good players on the best decks with old fashion combat.
Counterspells and fighting on the stack in cedh is so damn complicated and with 3 opponents you need to like study what the key threats are or people get pissy at you for misplaying

I think the absolute worst deck to hand to a new player is a deck like Winota, the need to excessively know how your opponents want to win, how to develop the correct stax pieces and when to go in for Winota is an absurd ask for a player who's unfamiliar with most decks. There's a reason winota has such a god awful top 16 conversion rate compared to tournament entries.

5 color for new players? My choice would have been mono color. Like yisan, urza, krikk, Magda, heliod. I think najeela kinda more veteran players because of pivoting to different lines kinda hard. But great list.

despite how fun cedh is, the most and biggest reason why newer players avoid it is the insanely high price tag, where a nice full strength deck would range anywhere between 2.5k to 10k dollar, which is an insanely high price tag for a card game in my opinion.
