Top 3 Tips For Growing On Social Media As A Photographer In 2024 (Read Description For Tips)

Here are my top 3 tips if you’re looking to grow on social media as a photographer:

1. It’s all about reels/video: Find the most efficient and sustainable way possible to turn your photos into some sort of video format. For me, it was recording POV behind-the-scenes content and sharing my journey. And you can get started doing it too with just your phone!

2. Consistency is the only metric you need to worry about: Don’t worry about likes, shares, comments, follower numbers, etc. Just focus on showing up, developing your skills and enjoying the journey. When I first started, I promised myself that I would post everyday for 5 years straight without seeing any results. And because I stuck to it, I began to see results after 11 months of consistency and relentlessly pushing myself to improve.

3. Add value in exchange for people’s time: Once you have mastered consistency, now it’s time to help others on their journeys. Create content that educates, empowers and entertains. Give as much as you can without any expectation, and I promise things will start to come back for you.
