I wipe my flat iron down with an alcohol wipe every time before I use it! Leaves no residue and works like a charm.

I loved the “if it ain’t moving at this step you might as well start over” 😂😂 I’ve definitely been there before, we are here for the movementttt. Never understood why people walk out with a stiff and product heavy silk press 😅

This is the best video ever. Coming from a licensed stylist here…you said it all! I literally just commented on another video to tell a lady the hair she pressed was weighed down & she should use less serum next time. I don’t play bout my wraps & silk presses. Only bounce & body allowed.

This might be the most informative & straight to the point minus all the intro dramatics i have ever watched on youtube! You literally addressed ALL the things Ive been doing wrong! You’re beautiful!

... I tried this a day after failing miserably... 🗣️AND LET ME TELL YOU🙌🏽. In all the 20yrs I been straightening my hair, its NEVER had this flow. Its literally been me this whole time, but I knew that. I just didnt know why. I assumed more was better for my dry 4b mix hair but I figured that too! High porosity smh. I combined these tips with some high porosity tips and BOOM. I was too press lol

I'm guilty of using TOO much product, but at the same time I'm TERRIFIED of heat damage because we know what comes next. SCISSORS. I've already been struggling with hair growth due to inconsistency. My hair has been the same length for YEARS.

It's so tempting to use a lot of products but I think the key is quality products that's well formulated that give the best results. Total game changers ☺️

I tried your silk press method today and OH MY GOODNESS! It worked! I was way too heavy handed with my products. Thank you so much for sharing this technique with us. ❤

This is such an awesome video! I haven't heat styled my hair in yrs, but your process is absolutely right. Clean hair and tools are key. I've had natural hair my whole life. My process has been to use a clarifying shampoo, cholesterol treatment, cool water rinse, Infusium 23 liquid leave in, rollerset, hood dry, hit the roots/ends w a Marcel iron, leave the length untouched. No other products other than the leave in. My hair looked like Tatyana Ali! So silky and full of body!

Great tips!! I know I’m guilty of too much product!! I always tell my hairstylist that my hair never turns out close to how nice it does when she does my hair and the first thing she always mentions is how much product I use. 😂
I need to pull back on that and possible try the chase method. Thank you for all the tips, very helpful!!

I came across this video last month and I followed EVERYTHING you said to the T and GIRL!!!! My silk press came out so niceee!!!! I used to put oil, leave in, water, and oil heat protectant when i did my "silk press" in the past 😭😭 This time I bought a serum and only used a lil bit and the difference was MAJOR. THANK YOU🥹😁

These are great tips!
I wanted to mention that I do the chase method with a men’s bristle brush because I can get more strands of my hair more thoroughly since more bristles are going through them.
