Here is an old recipe I got from a Finn. You can incorporate it with your dough recipe. It is a good dessert.
1 c flour, ½ c. butter, softened, 2-tbs. water. Measure flour into bowl, cut in butter, and sprinkle with water, mix. Round into a ball and divide dough into 2 pieces. Pat dough with hands into 2 long strips (about 3” x 12”) on an ungreased cookie sheet, 3” apart. Spread dough with this mixture: ½ c butter, 1 c water, 1-tsp. almond flavor, 1 c flour, and 3 eggs. Place butter and water in saucepan and bring to boil, add flavoring. Remove from heat. Stir in flour immediately to keep from lumping. When smooth and thick add unbeaten eggs, one at a time, stirring until smooth. Divide and spread on each dough section. Bake @375’ 55-60 minutes. ‘til top is crisp and brown. Frost when cool: 2c pwd. Sugar, ½ c butter, softened 2-tsp. cream and 1 tsp. vanilla.
