I had point's on my licence that had expired when we switched to the new licence from paper.
It was 8 yrs later I found out that the dvla had put the point's on line when they shouldn't have. One phone call to dvla and 2 wks later they removed them. This had affected my insurance quotes as my insurance dropped by more than half the following Yr.

If you hadn't done this, your mate could have been arrested for none payment of a fine. All because DVLA can't get it right.

Doesn't UK foreword mail when you move? Only time you wont get points on UK license if you have violation out of the country like USA & Canada for example. I was visiting UK & rented a car & got caught for cell phone & did not know it & cause I was not from UK they couldn't fine me.

so can you lose your liscene for a offence that was commited before holding a full one. so i got caught for driving in march by august 1st passed my test only just been told i need to go to court am i screwed or is it a very gray area?
