There are a few ways to check the power consumption of your GPU (graphics processing unit) in watts:

Check the manufacturer's specifications: The manufacturer of your GPU will typically list the maximum power consumption in watts in the product specifications. You can find this information on their website or in the user manual.

Use monitoring software: There are various software tools available that allow you to monitor your GPU's power consumption in real-time. Examples include MSI Afterburner, GPU-Z, and HWMonitor. These tools can provide you with a detailed breakdown of the power consumption of each component of your GPU, including the GPU core, memory, and voltage regulators.

Use a hardware power meter: You can also use a hardware power meter, such as a Kill-A-Watt meter, to measure the power consumption of your entire computer system, including the GPU. Simply plug your computer into the meter and monitor the power consumption as you run your GPU-intensive applications. Keep in mind that this method will give you the total power consumption of your system, not just the GPU.

What about the current WATT consumption?

I tried salad out with my 4090 rig, while a potential earnings of $4.50 per day was attractive, the 425 watts power draw and fans going warp speed nudged me to uninstall. Would probably work well on a water cooled system, a hard pass for now.
