PROXIMA CENTAURI B, THE EARTH'S CLOSEST EXOPLANET

preview_player
Показать описание

As a rule, objects within the habitable zone are located tens or hundreds of light years away from us. But quite recently scientists have come across one more exoplanet which is unprecedentedly close - 4.22 light years away.
The object is near the closest star to our Solar System and its name is Proxima Centauri b.

Seriously keep making videos about space😍❤️ your voice tells it so clearly and it is one of finest voices to listen to.

You have learned me so many things about the history of the universe and alot about space ❤️❤️

You did not mention that it’s likely that those planets are tidally locked to their star. That also is not a good situation for life.

I'm so confused right now, so Alpha Centauri is a system with 3stars, and only one of them has a planet in the habitable zone??

Hi not sure about your definition of Doppler spectroscopy. You seem to explain what is transit method where you see the brightness of the star dimm. Doppler spectroscopy is more in the case where two body like stars are rotating or when star are getting closer or further from us, you can see the shift in the red or blue respectively.

That means it has more chance to provide life than our star .
