Notes:
- Partisans are shown only when it's clear what territory they control
- The Irish war of independence was mostly a guerilla war so it is very scarcely shown, since the rebels didn't fight over territory and didn't hold positions or cities. I admit this video doesn't quite do it justice.
- The United Baltic Duchy and People's State of Bavaria were not shown due to their Wikis' very bad sourcing and lack of corroborating evidence. As far as I can understand, they either never existed or the authors misunderstood the material.
- Morocco's borders are shown at a rounded date.
- In a few cases, the "daily gains" color lingers for a few days by mistake. I fixed most of these cases, but there still might be others. Only the first day it appears should be taken as accurate
- After the British leave, Kars Province will be occupied by Armenia. Since Armenia has no color, it might be confusing so I wanted to clarify that
- The Treaty of St. Germain went into effect on 16th of July 1920. Despite this I showed the relevant annexations after it was signed because at that point most of the disputed territory was occupied by the victors and like in the case of Alsace-Lorraine, it wasn't any true difference between annexation and occupation
- Be aware that in the November 1918-January 1919 German troops in the east didn't evaporate. Some troops were still present in formerly occupied territories, however legal jurisdiction was exercised by their respective national governments

World War 1 didn't end in 1918. It lasted all the way until 1923.
