This is why I am so irritated with other people’s delusions being enabled. “Reality checking” is really opposed on social medias like TikTok. It upsets me to see people playing into mentally ill people’s delusions instead of leaving them be. They treat it like roleplaying, when they’re clearly not well.

"How do you deal with interdimensional beings"
"Fuck them"

Yup, sounds like Reddit

I was recently diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder and Snapped's hallucinations are really similar to things I experience. I guess it goes to show how easily mental health can spiral out of control, especially when other people want to take advantage of the mentally ill. I hope Snapped is doing ok now and has gotten help.

As someone with schizophrenia, I can tell you first hand, the reason Snapped didn't want to talk about it anymore is because coming out of psychosis is _humiliating._ Everyone saw what happened, everyone saw your behaviors, and everyone is judging you for it. It's an awful feeling.

i feel so terrible for this guy. him opening up and people feeding him these ideas makes me feel sick. as a member of the straight edge community myself, i take medication for my mental illness and it makes me feel terrible how some don't have that trust in medicine or even his 'friends'. i feel horrible about this and how people would mess with his mind.

I'm glad you included the ending bit, I feel like a lot of "deep dive mystery" channels don't include the ending because it's less ~mysterious~ that way. I think hearing the ending makes it all the more real and frightening that this person was almost made worse by some individual looking for entertainment.

Clicking on a random recommended video and immediately having a person I've never heard of before tell me to take care of myself and keep going... didn't know that was what I needed right now but here I am crying. Rest of the video is great too. You've earned yourself a sub

I really hate when people do these cringy elaborate larp shit to people who deal with hallucinations and delusions for their entertainment.
I've dealt with hallucinations myself when I was a teen and sometimes now as adult and it is the most horrifying things I can think of.
I had someone do something similar but it was a one time thing and was more in a bullying way than convincing me to something bad to me or someone else. (think like "I can see it too it's real")

I hate when people try and interfere with severe psychological issues. You see this all the time on TikTok. Someone talks about their hallucinations and psychosis. And then people comment that there's things hiding in the walls, just to fuck with them.

... "dimensional merge" makes me think of Chris Chan, and I'm now even more disturbed than I was at the start of this. 👀

I'm glad he got help. Because as someone who went through years of this shit when I was in my teens before getting meds and therapy, this is exactly what people did to me, though to be fair I think the other people I experienced felt they were genuinely helping. I confided in some of the horrific hallucinations I was having, and many people fed into it by saying I was demon possessed and needed to go to church or whatever. I am not religious, but many of the things I seen had religious imagery, so of course it scared me.

By the sounds of it he has gotten help and is doing just fine now but is embarrassed by his very public mental health crisis. He probably just wants to be left alone and get on with his life and not be constantly reminded of one of his darkest times. But you know who knows...

"Experts on Discord" is a combination of words I had never thought I'd hear

I really needed to hear this. I had a stroke last week and currently in the hospital (and I'm only 23(!)), being treated for the left side of my body, as well as managing my blood sugar levels (Type 1 diabetic). I'm finally going home tomorrow, and hearing these supportive words makes me smile and honestly gives me hope. May sound cheesy or cringe or whatever but it's true.

Hope you and everyone that reads this is doing well. As you said; take care of yourselves, be happy and safe, and stay positive no matter what you're going through. Stay strong and stay blessed everybody.

if you're familiar with the Chris Chan lore, there was a group of Discord users called the "Idea Guys" who convinced Chris that there was a "dimensional merge" happening in those exact words. Chris had a recorded history of mental illness that included hallucinations and delusions, so its possible they werent the only person that the Idea Guys took advantage of in that way...

I understand the sentiment you hold, but as someone with schizophrenia and in therapy... The whole "just don't respond to it" is kinda the main advice I've gotten from tons of professionals . Medication is another thing, but for the most part they just tell you to ignore them and figure out ways to recognize them.

So glad to hear he's still alive! I've heard stories this guy before, but they always ended with his final post being about entering the catacombs. Everyone assumed he got there and died somewhere deep in the catacombs.

As a neurodivergent person who's had struggles with anxiety and depression, i absolutely despise people who think it's fun to manipulate and use people's mental illnesses and delusions against them. It's absolutely despicable. A part of me hopes that the people manipulating Snapped were also people who suffered from the same delusions, if only because it means that they were not deliberately manipulating him with malicious intent. I hope that Snapped is able to recover and get the help he needs, and I hope that the people who were manipulating him also got mental help, as no one who indulges and uses delusions to manipulate those who suffer from them can be considered 100% mentally well and lacking in issues.

I'm no psychologist but this just sounds like a classic case of schizophrenia to me. I hope the guy got the help he needed.
